Liverpool are interested in signing Nicolo Barella from Inter Milan at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old midfielder has been outstanding in the Italian league and his transfer fee could exceed €60 million. According to a report from Inter Live, Liverpool are considering lowering their asking price for the Italian midfielder in exchange for several players. They are ready to send Federico Chiesa to Inter Milan and could also send Giovanni Leoni to Inter on loan.

Can Liverpool convince Inter Milan?
It remains to be seen whether the Italian team is ready to accept such a deal. They could use more quality players on the flanks and Chiesa could be a useful signing for them if they can manage his form and confidence. He hasn’t lived up to expectations in the Premier League and it’s no wonder Liverpool are willing to let him go.
Leoni, on the other hand, has just recovered from a serious knee injury. He is a great talent with a bright future and needs regular opportunities to develop into a quality defender. Perhaps a loan move might be ideal for him next season. Inter Milan could use their defensive depth and Leoni would be a great addition.
In Italy, he proved his quality at Parma and also impressed on his debut at Liverpool.
Liverpool need Nicolo Barella
Liverpool, on the other hand, need more control and composure in the center of the park. Barella could be a transformative addition for them. The Italian is at the peak of his career and could make a decisive impact in the Premier League.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will be able to lower their asking price of 60 million euros in exchange for the two Italian players. Barella has proven himself in Italy and now could be the perfect time for him to take on a new challenge and move to England.
Barella has also been linked with a move to Manchester United or Newcastle United.
