Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months.
According to FussballDaten, Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing him. The German midfielder has a contract with Stuttgart until 2028, which includes a release clause of 40 million euros.
However, they have the option to remove the release clause by paying €2m, and if they are able to release the clause in the coming weeks, the German club could demand around €65m for the midfielder this summer. Stuttgart view the player as follows: “Untouchable”.
The two Premier League clubs are keeping a close eye on the player and hope to sign him in the summer. Manchester United need a quality replacement for Casemiro and the 24-year-old Germany international could be ideal for them. He is excellent at defending the back four and winning the ball back for his team. He will allow creative players more freedom. In addition to his defensive qualities, he is also very good on the ball and has been compared to Toni Kroos.
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United are willing to pay big money for him.
Meanwhile, Liverpool could also use more quality and depth in the center of the park. They need a reliable defensive midfielder and Stiller would be a great addition. His arrival will allow Ryan Gravenbirch to play his natural role. He has been used as a defensive midfielder for the Dutch national team, but has struggled in that role.
Both Premier League clubs could be exciting destinations for the midfielder. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.
The player is reportedly seeking a salary of between 7 million and 9 million euros per season. Two Premier League clubs have the financial strength to accommodate his demands. It remains to be seen whether a formal offer will be made in the summer.
