Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Marseille midfielder Arthur Vermaelen.
SportsBoom reports that the 21-year-old impressed under manager Roberto De Zerbi at the French club and the Italian manager is keen to reunite. Vermaelen’s loan period with the French national team ends in the summer, but it remains to be seen whether Tottenham will be able to seal a deal.

According to reports, the Italian manager has asked the north London club to sign the Belgian playmaker. Tottenham need more quality and depth in the middle of the park and the promising young midfielder would be a great long-term option for them.
The player is available for a transfer fee of around £25m in the summer, and Tottenham have the financial wherewithal to make a deal happen. It remains to be seen whether they will attract interest with a formal offer in the summer.
