Darwin Nunez has been linked with a return to the Premier League at the end of the season, with Newcastle United likely ready to offer him a way out.

They are looking to sign a quality striker in the summer and believe the 26-year-old could be their ideal signing. Newcastle are considering a number of strikers ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports from Spain.

Nunez has struggled to get regular minutes at Al Hilal and has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Karim Benzema. A return to the Premier League would be ideal for the player as he would need to leave the club to play more often.

The former Liverpool striker has nine goals and five assists in all competitions, and is sure to be a hugely beneficial signing for Newcastle. He showed his quality in the Premier League with Liverpool, helping them win last season’s title. In addition to his ability to find the back of the net and create chances, he is a hard-working player who also contributes defensively. Furthermore, he is a versatile player who can operate the front three anywhere.

The 26-year-old knows the Premier League well and will be able to adapt quickly. He could make an immediate impact at Newcastle if he joins the club.

The Premier League site invested in Nick Woltemade and Ioan Wissa at the start of the season. The German national team has had some good results, but Wissa has struggled with injuries and inconsistent form. Newcastle need more quality in their attacking line and it remains to be seen who they will ultimately face.
