Manchester United and Tottenham have expressed interest in signing South Korean forward Oh Hyun-gyu.
The player has impressed since joining Besiktas in the January transfer window. He joined the club for a fee of 14 million euros and has scored six goals and provided two assists in nine games since joining. According to TurkiyeGazetesi, top clubs are naturally monitoring his progress.
Manchester United and Tottenham are said to be interested in the player. It remains to be seen whether they decide to move him in the summer. Manchester United need more depth in their attacking line. Benjamin Sesco has had a mixed debut season with the Premier League club and needs more competition in attack. The Koreans would definitely be attracted to the idea of a move to the Premier League. It would be a big step up for him and would allow him to play for some of the biggest clubs in the world.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are also keeping an eye on his progress. Dominic Solanke hasn’t been able to score goals consistently and they need more options. Whether they can complete the deal remains to be seen.
The South Korean could be attracted to the idea of joining the London club, especially if they can remain in the Premier League.
Tottenham have a sizeable fan base in South Korea thanks to Son Heung-min. It will be interesting to see if they can sign the Besiktas striker in the summer.
The Turkish team could make a hefty profit from the player if they are forced to buy him for cash at the end of the season.
