Two La Liga clubs enthusiastic about admiring Antony from Man United

Man United will have to sell more than expected as they failed European qualifying next season after failing to have a disappointing Premier League campaign and a victory in the Europa League. And one player who appears to be sure to leave Old Trafford forever is Antony.

Since departing for the real Betis in January, Antony has turned his fortune around. He thrived in Seville, with another goal in a 1-1 draw against Valencia on Friday leading him to a 13-goal contribution for the LA La Liga side (8 goals, five assists). And there could be more coming as they will face Chelsea in the final of the UEFA Conference League on Wednesday.

It’s no secret that Betis wants to keep Antony in Benito Villa Marine via another loan or permanent deal. However, there is growing interest in the services of Brazilians, which is fun for Man United.

As reported independently (via Football Espania), Atletico Madrid wants to sign Antony this summer, and the fact that they can spend more than Betis will make the deal on Diego Simeone’s side more possible.

Man United hopes to bring at least £40 million when Antony sells. But for now, the important things about Ir Jim Ratcliffe and Co are bringing as much money as possible.

It remains to be seen when Antony will be finished by the end of the summer transfer window. Staying at La Liga is a very realistic possibility, but first, either Betis or Atletico must meet the asking price established by Man United.
