Arsenal plot move for ‘powerful’ Monga

It’s been the toughest few weeks of the season for Arsenal, but they face Manchester City at the worst possible time this Sunday.

Arsenal are considering sacking Arteta this summer on two major conditions

The Gunners will have a huge amount of time over the next few weeks.

The Gunners have gone from a team guaranteed to be crowned champions to one who have won just one of their last five games and scored just one goal from open play in that time.

This weekend’s loss to the Etihad will reduce their lead at the top of the table to three points, but if Man City win the game it could be reduced to zero points.

Aston Villa (32 games)

However, one man who remains as calm as ever is Bertha. The sporting director is reportedly keen to cement the future of the Gunners’ frontline, with his focus on the upcoming transfer window.

According to the Telegraph’s Sam Dean, Berta is planning a “strong” move for Arsenal to sign Monga from Leicester this summer, thereby securing one of England’s best young talents.

The winger is only 16 years old but has made 28 appearances in all competitions for Leicester this season. The experience this season will prove invaluable in the years to come, even as the Foxes continue to face the reality of a shocking relegation.

Monga’s arrival could form a strong pairing on the opposite flank at the Emirates for years to come, as Max Dauman, also only 16, is destined to fill the right-wing position in Arsenal’s front line.

Same goes for England’s Ousmane Dembele.

Ever since Monga appeared on King Power, praise has been pouring in. The interest in the Premier League this summer will come as no surprise to anyone. This is especially true of Como scout Ben Mattinson, who last year dubbed the Leicester star ‘England’s Dembele’.

Along with Dauman, Monga is one of the best young players English football has to offer and it looks like Leicester will need to raise money if they drop to League One this season.

With Arsenal’s creativity sorely lacking at the moment, it will be interesting to see how their squad’s future could provide an immediate solution to Mikel Arteta’s current problems.

Ahead of his second summer as manager, Berta is already planning to make a number of impressive statements about English football.
