‘Shut up!’ – Harry Winks’ angry exchange with Leicester fans as relegation looms

Leicester City midfielder Harry Winks was filmed angrily shouting at fans after today’s defeat to Portsmouth left the club in serious danger of relegation to the Championship.

The Foxes have endured a nightmare season after being relegated from the Premier League last season, but there is a growing possibility that they will be relegated again next season and remain in League One.

Understandably, tensions seem to be building, but the Winks really lose the plot here, as they are seen screaming in an angry exchange with an unseen fan and telling the person to “shut up” before being escorted to the team bus…

At a time when everyone at the King Power Stadium needs to be united, this seems far from ideal and one would imagine that the Winks would have to apologize for losing in front of such fans.

Leicester City’s nightmare continues, relegation now inevitable

Leicester currently sit 23rd in the Championship, eight points adrift with just three games in hand.

This means there is little chance that LCFC will remain this season, with their sights set on life in English football’s third tier next season.

Leicester finished in 18th place in the Premier League last season, and although they returned to the top flight after just one season, they quickly fell down the rankings and have been unable to break out of this downward spiral.

Remarkably, it was only ten years ago that the club won the Premier League title, one of the most remarkable fairy tales in the world of football, and it is not so much that the club went from being champions of England to playing in the third tier in just ten years.
