Here’s how Charlie Woods fared at the Terra Cotta Invitational

Charlie Woods saved his best golf in the final round of the Terra Cotta Invitational in Naples on Saturday.

Woods, a senior at Benjamin School and the son of legendary golfer Tiger Woods, shot a 3-under 69 in the third round at Naples National Golf Club in Naples, Florida, for a tournament total of 3-over 219. He finished tied for 42nd out of 72 golfers and 15 strokes behind South Carolina mid-amateur Connor Doyal, who beat junior Dawson Luu of Toronto, Canada, by one stroke.

Woods, a Florida State University product, started with a bogey on No. 1 and rounded out the front nine with birdies on Nos. 6, 7 and 9. He made no mistakes on the back nine and added another birdie on the 18th.

Final round of the South Florida PGA Junior West Coast High School Championship held at Twin Eagles in Naples. Charlie Woods, the son of golf legend Tiger Woods, tied for fourth in the tournament.

Past champions of the Terra Cotta, one of the top junior events in the country, include nine-time PGA champion Matt Kuchar (1997), whose son Cameron finished T34 in this year’s tournament, and former world No. 1 golfer Justin Thomas (2010).
