Chelsea are currently planning to sign Alex Scott from Bournemouth this summer, and will take on Manchester United in a bid to sign the midfielder.
Chelsea plan to sign Alex Scott
The Blues appear to be slowly returning to square one under BlueCo ownership. Once again, their manager’s long-term future is in doubt, this time with Liam Rosenior under threat, and once again their recruitment looks too disappointing.
For the money they’ve spent, there’s a good chance the Blues will miss out on the Champions League this season. That would be a huge failure given the huge amount of talent it has hired in recent years. And it will also push them back into the market.
The Stamford Bridge side will be desperate to get things right this time around and have already set their sights on some Premier League names as a result.
Ahead of the summer transfer window, the Blues are reportedly targeting Tottenham Hotspur’s Lukas Bergvall, and it is becoming clear that finding a replacement for Enzo Fernandes could be a priority.
Chelsea preparing offer to sign Spurs star for £50m to replace Enzo Fernandes
The Blues are planning to sign an ‘unstoppable’ player.
The World Cup winners appear destined to head for the exit door after toying with the idea publicly during the recent international break, before Rosenior responded by dropping the midfielder.
Replacing a player of this caliber isn’t easy, and Bergvall may not be the answer. Instead, the West London club could look to the south coast.
According to Caught Offside, Chelsea are currently planning to sign Scott from Bournemouth in a deal that would see him replace Fernandes immediately.
‘Great’ Scott ready for big move
With Eli Junior Crupi, Marcos Senesi and even Andoni Iraola himself continuing to attract attention at Bournemouth, it’s worth keeping an eye on the Scot.
The midfielder has not always attracted the attention of potential suitors, but a recent England call-up, coupled with his stability amid major changes at Bournemouth, has turned that narrative on its head. He’s now gearing up for a big move.
“He had a great performance at EURO. We won the title and Lee was full of praise. He did a great job in midfield with Elliott Anderson, who is now our regular starter.”
“It was very impressive, but then he took it a step further and is now a very regular starter for Bournemouth and they are in the top third of the league. They are constantly overperforming.” (Thomas Tuchel, on the Scot)
The Scot was forced to play at home rather than in the England camp during the most recent international break, but is clearly highly regarded by manager Thomas Tuchel.
A move to Chelsea’s prestigious club could cement his place in the Three Lions camp, and potentially even further. If Bournemouth manager Iraola is looking for a new challenge this summer, Scott should follow suit.
