Tottenham Hotspur are now close to appointing Sebastian Kehl as their new sporting director.
The former Borussia Dortmund manager is the frontrunner to replace the North London club, according to Ben Jacobs.

Sebastian Kehl could be a great addition
The north London club is in need of a capable sporting director as the squad undergoes major surgery during the summer transfer window. Kale could be an interesting addition for them.
He has performed well in Germany with Dortmund and is looking to make his mark on English football with Tottenham. Despite having quality players at their disposal, Tottenham clearly need to fill several holes in their starting line-up. It remains to be seen whether the Germans will be able to improve the team and bring in the right players to fill the team’s weaknesses.

Can Cale help Spurs build a first team?
Tottenham are currently battling to stay in the Premier League, but have an ambitious project underway. They should be doing better and Kale will help them build a formidable team and bounce back strongly. They did a good job of appointing a high-quality manager like Roberto De Zerbi. Appointing a good sporting director would be the ideal next move for them.
Meanwhile, the opportunity to join a Premier League club would be an exciting one for Kele. He knows how to work with limited resources and could be the perfect player for Tottenham. Dortmund are great at making the most of the resources at their disposal and bringing in elite young talent. He is expected to do a similar job at the north London club in the future.
