Gunners boss Andrea Berta is said to have already been in talks over the deal, and it appears that things are now moving towards signing the player.

This is according to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, who say Arsenal plan to bring in Tresoldi to compete with Victor Goqueres up front, with Gabriel Jesus expected to leave the Emirates Stadium.

Tresordi has scored 17 goals for Brugge this season and has also been an impressive player for the German national team at Under-21 level, and looks like a promising talent.

This is not the first time Arsenal have heard rumors of a move for Tresoldi, with Christian Falk previously saying: catch off side About the Gunners’ interests.

Coach Falk has named Tresoldi, who is the future of the German national team, as a possible signing candidate, and Arsenal is a candidate for the deal.

It will be an interesting story to watch in the coming weeks and months, as things may now develop further.

Arsenal need goals, but can Tresoldi deliver them?

Tresoldi looks like a promising striker, but it’s not the easiest market for a centre-forward at the moment.

There was a big move when Goqueres joined Arsenal last summer, but he hasn’t been as successful in England as he was in Portugal during his time with Sporting Lisbon.

Other main strikers who will be transferred include Benjamin Sesco, Nick Woltemade and Liam Delap, but none of them are particularly memorable.

Joao Pedro and Hugo Ekitike bucked that trend slightly, but with the likes of Harry Kane certainly not available and Julian Alvarez costing a lot of money, the AFC may struggle to land a truly world-class No. 9 at the moment.

In that case, signing an up-and-coming talent like Tresoldi might be ideal. That’s because he’s a player who could be a great long-term option if he continues to develop.
