“We still need to finalize the details, but a deal is imminent as the transfer fee could exceed 20 million euros, including all additional elements.”
Kostov is reportedly packing his bags for a move to Arsenal and could head to London this week.
Arsenal are doing a smart job in the transfer market
Signing an elite young player like this looks like an important step for Arsenal, but it will only improve their ability to buy low and sell high.
Even if building a winning team for Mikel Arteta is a priority, modern football also means that making ends meet and meeting Financial Fair Play regulations is extremely important.
Kostov looks like he has the potential to have a great career, and while there will be competition for his place at Arsenal, he could end up being someone they can sell for a big profit later on.
