Liverpool are looking to improve their midfield and have targeted Francisco Trincao.
According to a report in the Anfield Index, they have made inquiries about the 26-year-old playmaker and could have to pay €60 million to seal the deal.
Manchester United wanted to sign Trincao last summer. Trincao has also been linked with Manchester City.

Francisco Trincao on Liverpool’s radar
The Sporting CP midfielder has performed very well this season and could be a great signing for Liverpool. They need more creativity in the final third, especially after Mohamed Salah’s departure.
The 26-year-old has contributed 30 goals this season and can play in a central attacking midfield role as well as on the wings. His versatility will be a huge bonus for Liverpool. He has previously played in England for Wolves and knows the league well. He may be able to settle in quickly and make an immediate impact.
The opportunity to join one of the biggest clubs in the world will be exciting for him. Trincao has 12 goals and 18 assists this season.

Trincao could be an expensive addition
Asking price can be an issue. Even if he is a quality player, Liverpool may not want to pay €60 million for him. Portuguese clubs will have to respond reasonably to their demands. Liverpool need to improve several areas of their squad in the summer. They can’t afford to pay excessive amounts of money for Portuguese players.
At 26, he is at the peak of his powers and now is the perfect time to return to the Premier League. His time at Wolves hasn’t been underwhelming, but he now wants to prove himself in English football.
