The Los Angeles have officially signed right-handed pitcher Chris Stratton, as announced on Sunday. Stratton, a seasoned reliever, was recently let go by the Kansas City Royals.

In related roster moves, the also promoted right-handed pitcher Bobby Miller ahead of their final game in the series against the New York Mets. Miller pitched two innings in a 5-2 loss on Saturday, allowing one run and issuing one walk.

To make room for Stratton on the 40-man roster, the designated right-hander JP Feyereisen for assignment. Feyereisen has appeared twice this season for the , giving up three runs in two innings.

The initially acquired Feyereisen from the Tampa Bay Rays before the 2023 season, but he missed that year due to injury. In 2024, he appeared once for the in a series against the San Diego Padres. Overall, Feyereisen has made 10 major league appearances for the during the 2024 season, posting a high ERA of 8.18 with nine strikeouts across 11 innings. His recent performance with the was similarly challenging, with an ERA of 11.25 and a WHIP of 3.000.
