Froholt was previously on the radar at Copenhagen, but has progressed well since moving to a bigger club in a more competitive league.
According to Bold.dk, Arsenal are competing with the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle United to sign him this summer.
This follows exclusive information earlier this season that Arsenal and Tottenham were eyeing Froholt, who is likely to be a difficult player for Porto to hold on to for long.
Is Victor Fromholt set to move to Arsenal?
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal are making serious progress on this potential move, or if it is still at a relatively early stage.
Still, the Gunners will likely be looking for a player of this profile this summer, a young midfielder who can give Mikel Arteta further depth behind Declan Rice and Martin Zvimendi.
Christian Norgaard has struggled to impress since arriving at the Emirates Stadium, so there is certainly room for a player like Froholt to come in and start out as an international player, but perhaps develop into a starter later on with experience.

Liverpool may also be able to tempt Froholt, as they are a club that can make some changes in the middle of the park.
Still, it’s been a pretty disastrous season for the Reds, so the Gunners’ project might look more appealing at the moment.
Arsenal are top of the Premier League and have reached the Champions League final, but Liverpool have dropped to fourth place and are likely to end up without a trophy.
