Aston Villa plan to raid Barcelona to sign Ferran Torres
Unai Emery’s side are looking to add more firepower to their ranks and believe Barcelona’s Ferran Torres would be a perfect fit for their setup, according to a report from Fichajes. They are The offer for the Spain international is 65 million euros.
Torres, who has been at the Catalan club since the start of 2022, is an important member of Hansi Flick’s side but is not a regular starter and could be given a more prominent role if he moves.
In 46 appearances, the 26-year-old has scored 20 goals and provided two assists, despite playing just 2,504 minutes for the first team. He prefers to play in midfield but is capable enough to play any role in the final third.
Torres plays for Manchester City in England, with whom he won the Premier League title in the 2020/21 season.

Barcelona plans to sell Torres only conditionally
Given his importance in the team’s set-up, Barcelona will not make a hasty decision about his future. They will only sanction his departure if the move actually improves the team by raising enough money and making room for a potential contract.
Apart from Aston Villa, there is also interest from AC Milan, with the Italian club offering a loan with a buyout obligation and a significant percentage of future sales. Even though Villa are prepared to pay big money for him, their offer seems more attractive for both the Spanish club and the player.
