The fluidity of this position and natural physicality on the ball is certainly reminiscent of Dias, who played for Liverpool. There’s a balance to what Soul does, a kind of equilibrium between strength and skill and style.
The Colombian has lacked a presence at Liverpool this season, with Kodi Gakpo unable to compensate on the left. It remains to be seen whether Sule will emulate Dias’ influence on the right flank, but he certainly has the roundness to bring that quality back to Anfield.
In fact, this season in Serie A, Roma’s forward has scored six goals (with just two missed big chances), provided five assists and created five big chances. He has a sharp touch on the ball, is an underrated long passer, and drives the ball forward with precision.
