The second major of the golf season is upon us, and many players will be turning their attention to the Wanamaker Trophy while also looking to use the 2026 PGA Championship as a springboard for the rest of their campaigns. No one enters the tournament with special pressure, but Rory McIlroy will aim to become the first golfer since Tiger Woods to play in back-to-back Masters and the first golfer since 2015 to win the first two majors this year.

Still, it’s Scottie Scheffler who enters as the reigning PGA Champion, and even though his 2026 season is full of runner-up finishes, there’s no reason to doubt his ability to put it all together and rejoin the winner’s circle at a major championship. Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Cameron Young and Matthew Fitzpatrick are among the biggest and hottest players to compete at Aronimink Golf Club, and many believe this major is ripe for a first win.
