Chelsea are interested in signing Udinese’s Oumar Sollet.

According to a report from TMW, there will be a battle for his signature with Italian champions Milan. The 26-year-old Frenchman has performed well in Italy and has the physicality to succeed in English football. He would be a great addition to Chelsea.

Chelsea want to fight for big trophies next season and need to fill holes in their defense during the summer transfer window. Adding a quality central defender will help them improve significantly. They have been very poor defensively this season and cannot hope to compete with top clubs with weak defensive units.

Sollet has always been linked with a possible departure from Udinese, and the opportunity to move to England would be an exciting one. He is at the peak of his career and will test himself at the highest level. Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world and Chelsea could provide him with a platform to showcase his qualities at the highest level. We might be able to compete with them for trophies.

It remains to be seen whether he is ready to continue working at Inter Milan in Italy. Both clubs could be exciting destinations for the player.

Solet has the potential to succeed in English football and Chelsea should aim to seal a deal. Signing him for a reasonable amount could be a masterstroke. He is expected to part ways with Benoît Badiashile and Axel Disassi in the summer. A Serie A star could fill the void.

It will be interesting to see if they make an acceptable offer for the defender in the coming weeks.
