Richarlison admitted Tottenham will keep a close eye on West Ham’s trip to Newcastle, but urged his team-mates to remain calm in the relegation battle.

Spurs sit 17th in the Premier League and hold a two-point advantage over the bottom three heading into this weekend when Roberto De Zerbi’s side have no games.

Tottenham play away to rivals Chelsea next Tuesday, face Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday, and could slip into the relegation zone if West Ham beat Newcastle on Sunday.

A 1-1 draw at home to Leeds on Monday left Spurs four unbeaten, but it also meant they missed an opportunity to put another nail in 18th-placed West Ham’s coffin.

Richarlison told ESPN Brasil: “It’s tough, but we’re improving point by point and depending on the result of next weekend’s game, we only need one more point to avoid relegation.”

“We keep our eyes on the opponent (West Ham) but we have to play our part.

“We have the advantage of scoring away, so it’s important to stay calm.

“We had a very intense game (against Leeds). Unfortunately we conceded a penalty goal. That’s part of football. Now it’s about continuing these two games.”

It has been a very successful season for Richarlison. He scored 11 goals in all competitions and scored five points of his own in the Premier League.

Mikey Moore confirms return to Tottenham this summer

On-loan winger Mikey Moore has confirmed he will return to Spurs this summer before deciding on his next step.

Speaking to Rangers’ official media channel ahead of the final game of the season against Falkirk, he said: “I have mixed feelings going into tomorrow’s game. This is not the position we wanted, but this is my last game. For me, I have a lot of love for everyone. I understand how people feel and I have tried to give my all for the club. This club is a big part of the person I will become as a person. I will be a fan of this club for the rest of my life.”

“There have to be some changes at the back of this club, but the foundations are there to make a mark. Of course we need to win the league and Europe, but it’s there.”

“Now Spurs have a new manager. Of course, I’m a Spurs player so I’m going to go back and keep working hard.”

De Zerbi have a number of exciting players on loan who are set to return this summer, with Moore joined by centre-back Luka Vuskovic and striker Will Lankshear.

Spurs are set to use Vuskovic in the first team, with Moore, who has scored seven goals in all competitions and won the SPFL Young Player of the Year award, appearing to be left with options open.
