Nottingham Forest are increasingly confident they can keep Morgan Gibbs-White at the City Ground this summer, despite long-standing interest from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
According to TEAMtalk, Forest believe their captain is likely to stay, even though several big clubs continue to monitor his situation.
The report suggests Forest may be more likely to lose Elliott Anderson than Gibbs-White if there is one major midfield departure this summer.
Gibbs-White remains one of Forest’s most important players. He signed a new contract in 2025 until 2028, meaning Forest will have a stronger hand than in previous transfer windows.

Gibbs-White’s value to Forest is clear. He is not only a talented attacking midfielder, but also a player who gives character to their attack.
He can carry the ball, create chances, press hard and create the big moments the team needs.

Even with Bruno Fernandes’ long-term future uncertain, Gibbs-White would be the type of Premier League-proven creator who can immediately add energy and invention.
I can understand Tottenham’s interest. This is especially true given Tottenham’s strong lobbying efforts for Tottenham in the past, before Forrest signed a new contract.
Sky Sports reported last summer that Gibbs-White had rejected Spurs and agreed a club-record deal with Forest, in what appeared to be a major statement from the club.
According to the Guardian’s match report, Gibbs-White has scored 14 goals this season.
These numbers are impressive for an attacking midfielder playing on a struggling team. Although Forest finished avoiding relegation rather than chasing Europe, Gibbs-White still managed to stand out.
