Arsenal won their first Premier League title in 22 years and now focus on winning the UEFA Champions League final against PSG later this month.

The club will then focus on agreeing new contracts with key players and their manager Mikel Arteta. catch off side Mark Bruce reported earlier today.

Arteta has done a great job at Arsenal and it’s no wonder they want to keep him at the club for the long term. It would be reasonable to assume that the Spanish manager will be committing his long-term future to the club.

He has put together a formidable project at the North London club and there is no reason to move on. He will aim to further improve the team and dominate English football in the coming seasons.

Meanwhile, key players such as Declan Rice and Julian Timber are likely to be offered big contracts after strong seasons. Both players want to continue with Arsenal and it is reasonable to assume that an agreement will eventually be reached.

Reported by Fabrizio Romano. catch off side: “Arsenal are working on a new contract. That will be one of the priorities after the Champions League final, but of course not now. Right now the focus is on the pitch after winning the Premier League. It’s time to concentrate on the Champions League.”

“But then Mikel Arteta will resume negotiations with Arsenal for a new contract with a salary increase. So, it is expected that Arteta will sign a new contract with Arsenal after the Champions League final. Of course, it may take time. There will be holidays, there will be free time. But Mikel Arteta intends to continue with Arsenal again and the club will give him a salary increase.”

“Then Julian Timber and Declan Rice, the next two players to discuss new contracts with Arsenal. Discussions are ongoing. The club are clearly very happy with both of those players. Negotiations are already underway and my understanding is that both players are sufficiently happy at Arsenal that they are ultimately happy to continue.”

While clubs like Liverpool and Manchester City are going through a period of transition, this is Arsenal’s best chance to win the Premier League and win another major trophy next season. To do that, we need to keep our best players and maintain the stability of our project. It will be extremely difficult to retain key players and sign long-term contracts with the manager.
