Siu Kim played alongside Scottie Scheffler and Brooks Koepka in the first two rounds of the CJ CUP Byron Nelson.

After 36 holes, Si Woo Kim is in the lead at 18 under following a sensational second round 60, with Scottie Scheffler firmly in the rearview mirror at 13 under.

TPC Craig Lunch was very scoring this week, with the Korean star tearing up the golf course with his precise driving and approach play.

Meanwhile, Scotty Scheffler had his second straight bogey-free round at TPC Craig Ranch, posting six birdies, one eagle and 11 pars.

At CJ CUP Byron Nelson, Kim Si-woo and Scheffler kept the mood upbeat through the first two rounds.

That’s not surprising considering the fact that they are close friends off the golf course.

The 30-year-old from Seoul, South Korea, spoke to the media Friday shortly after the second round in McKinney, Texas.

Siu was asked by reporters if he had much conversation with Scheffler during the second round Friday at Craig Ranch.

“We didn’t talk much about scores or golf, but we had a fun conversation.“ the Korean answered.

“I can’t really say, but it was fun. I was hoping he could hit the last hole and play with me. Preferably on Sunday.“

The fact that Kim wanted Scheffler with him in Saturday’s final group tells us everything we need to know about his mentality.

A par on the final hole was enough for the supremely talented 30-year-old to hit a magical 59.

However, in the end, he made bogey and when asked by reporters how he felt after hitting 60, he answered:

“Well, it was a great group with two of my favorite players and it was fun to play with them.“ Mr. Wu said.

“I had a great hit and a great putt. Everything was perfect except for the last hole. I still receive it. No. 60 is difficult, but after making the putt on No. 17, I was thinking a little bit about No. 59. It felt like a bit of adrenaline.

“Yeah, it was a difficult shot, but I’ll hang in there, 60.“

Siu Kim clearly has a great attitude when it comes to golf, and Scotty Scheffler will likely be taking a break from work to catch his friend Byron Nelson at the CJ Cup this weekend.
