The Frenchman is in the Palace squad and will face Arsenal at Selhurst Park on the final day of the Premier League season, with journalist Fabrice Hawkins claiming he is “intended” to make an away move this summer.

Liverpool and Chelsea were previously among the clubs linked to Lacroix by TEAMtalk, while there was a further link with the Reds in the Daily Mail.

See below. Hawkins reports that this is set to be Lacroix’s last appearance for the Eagles at Selhurst Park, but of course he will join Oliver Glasner’s side for the upcoming Europa Conference League final…

Hawkins posted on his official X account: “Maxence Lacroix will play in his final game against Arsenal at Selhurst Park this afternoon.”

“The Crystal Palace centre-back is set to leave. There have been no discussions with the Eagles regarding a contract extension. Several Premier League clubs are interested in the 26-year-old France international.”

What’s next for Maxence Lacroix, who is scheduled to be transferred?

Lacroix is expected to attract a lot of interest following his form at Palace, but with the Merseyside giants in need of a new central defender, Liverpool are the logical destination.

The 26-year-old could be the ideal long-term replacement for the aging Virgil van Dijk at LFC, while Ibrahima Konate could soon leave Anfield as his contract nears the end of its contract, although this is yet to be confirmed.

In any case, there is definitely room for Lacroix to join the team, and there are high expectations that he will be available and active.

Hawkins’ post suggests there is interest from other Premier League clubs, so it will be interesting to see if other clubs also get involved.
