Manchester United’s pursuit of a new striker is a critical turn, with reports showing that sports star Victor Gyoker’s movements are “almost off the table.”

When considered the highest target to bolster the Red Devils’ offense, the Swedish forward is no longer the main target of the club or the player themselves.

Instead, Man United turned his attention towards Masteus Cunha forward of the Wolverhampton Wanderers, and the debate went swiftly.

According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, United are currently not in the race to sign sports prolific attacker Gyoker.

Man United focuses on Cunha

With a deal agreed to sign wolves Cunha this summer, Red Devils doesn’t feel the need to sign Gyoker with their team.

Gyokeres won a sensational season in Portugal, scoring 54 goals in all competitions for the sport, winning the Primeira Liga title.

His explosive form placed him on the radar of several elite clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea and United.

However, sources close to the situation say United have chosen to pursue more achievable options in Cunha.

The 26-year-old Swedish International has a release clause in the 100 million euro region, but far fewer moves could be completed.

United’s decision not to pursue his signature is still unknown based on economic reasons for tactical reasons.

At this point, it appears that the striker is being told to join Mikel Arteta’s team towards Arsenal.

As for United, Cunha’s deal is in a sophisticated stage and if it is confirmed, it will mark another step in the club’s efforts to reshape their team under the leadership of Ruben Amorim.
