  • Crystal Palace’s top priority is appointing a new manager following the departure of Oliver Glasner.

Crystal Palace are closely monitoring a potential summer move for defender Ladislav Kureishi, with the player emerging as a serious target for Leeds United.

The Czech Republic international has spent the season on loan at Wolves from Girona in La Liga and is attracting a lot of interest as the summer transfer window approaches.

Leeds United lead race to sign Ladislav Krejci despite interest from Crystal Palace

TEAMtalk reports that Leeds United appear to be currently leading the race and are ready to launch a formal bid for the defender.

Daniel Farke’s side have long admired Krejci and initially made inquiries during the January transfer window to assess his suitability for the step up to the Premier League.

Leeds are reportedly willing to offer around £26 million to secure a permanent move from parent club Girona.

Interest in Krejci remains high across Spain’s La Liga following his impressive spell with Girona, but the paper claims the player wants to move permanently to England.

This preference would be a huge boost to Leeds’ hopes of completing a deal.

However, Crystal Palace have also carried out extensive scouting work on their World Cup star in recent months, identifying him as a key defensive reinforcement alongside Brentford.

The report adds that while clubs carry out extensive scouting, no club is as advanced in their pursuit as Leeds.

Crystal Palace’s top priority is appointing a new manager following the departure of Oliver Glasner.

The Eagles are actively monitoring Kureishi’s situation, but will likely have to wait if transfer negotiations move forward.

Crystal Palace’s immediate priority is to appoint a new permanent manager following the departure of Oliver Glasner, who left Selhurst Park after winning the UEFA Conference League trophy in historic fashion.

While the club’s reinforcements team continues to collect data on defensive targets like Krejci, any formal market moves will likely take a backseat until a replacement for Glasner is chosen to guide the club’s upcoming European campaign.
