Dusan Vlahovic has left Juventus on a free transfer and will become a big free agent in the upcoming transfer window.
Juventus manager Giorgio Chiellini has confirmed that talks to extend the Serbian forward’s contract have officially broken down.
Chiellini expressed his sadness at Blachowicz’s departure, saying he cared deeply for the club but ultimately wanted a higher salary than the Italian giants could offer.
“With the current salary conditions, he will not stay in Italy,” admitted Chiellini (quote shared by Fabrizio Romano in X)
Newcastle are keen to sign Dusan Vlahovic
This surprising development has thrown Newcastle United into a state of emergency. The Magpies are keen to sign a powerful striker to spearhead their ambitious project.
With Newcastle keen to find an elite goalscorer to strengthen their front line, the opportunity to sign an €80 million asset without paying a dime in transfer fees is a very attractive proposition.
St James’ Park bosses see Vlahovic as the perfect modern-day No. 9 and are reportedly prepared to put together an astronomical wage package to lure him to Tyneside.
A lot of competition with Europe’s top giants is linked
However, the Magpies face a monumental battle to secure his signature. The availability of a world-class striker in his prime for free has caused absolute enthusiasm among Europe’s elite and means there will be plenty of fierce competition.
Along with Newcastle, Premier League rivals Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham are also closely monitoring the situation.
United see him as the ideal replacement for their changing frontline, while Arsenal and Spurs are both desperate for elite firepower.
However, this race extends far beyond England. Continental giants Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have all been linked with the Serbian international.
Vlahovic’s agent has already made contact with a number of clubs and his next move remains completely open, but Newcastle are determined to fight tooth and nail against European royalty to win the race.
