Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara in the summer transfer window.

Media Foot report that the 22-year-old is also a target for Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

Kamara has performed well in the French league and has the physical and technical attributes to succeed in English football. He could be a great signing for the north London club.

Tottenham need more physicality and defensive cover in the center of the park, and he is currently one of the frontrunners to make a deal. According to the report, Tottenham are prepared to make a huge investment in the 22-year-old midfielder.

It will be interesting to see if they can strike a deal with the Senegalese international. Newcastle and Aston Villa are also monitoring his situation. Newcastle need more quality players in the middle of the park and the 22-year-old would be a great long-term investment.

Aston Villa have qualified for next season’s Champions League and need to further strengthen their squad to compete regularly with elite clubs.

The 22-year-old has the quality to improve all three clubs. Tottenham will be losing Joao Parinha and will need to properly replace him. The Portugal international spent last season on loan at the London club, where he excelled. Kamara could fill the void he leaves. He will help protect the defensive unit and add physicality in the middle of the park.

Tottenham will support him to develop further and reach his potential. Regular football in England could bring out the best in the Senegalese international. The player’s transfer fee could be around 40-50 million euros this summer, but it remains to be seen which of the three clubs will be prepared to pay that.
