William Gomez has been linked with a move from Porto in recent weeks, with Arsenal also in the race to sign him.

We recently covered reports that Manchester United were in the market for the 20-year-old attacker, and Globo Esporte reports that Arsenal have contacted his agent about a possible move.

It remains to be seen whether Porto are prepared to allow him to leave. The 20-year-old has impressed for the Portuguese club and is highly rated across Europe.

The player had 13 goals and two assists last season and will only improve with coaching and experience. He has all the tools to develop into a future star. Arsenal need more quality in their side and the 20-year-old could be a solid long-term investment for them.

The opportunity to join the Premier League champions will be an exciting one for the young attacker. It remains to be seen whether Porto are prepared to allow him to leave. He has a release clause of 80 million euros. However, it’s fair to assume that no club would want to pay that much for an unproven talent. He is a player with huge potential but has not done anything to justify his €80 million price tag.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will make a formal offer to conclude a deal following their investigation.

Manchester United continue to need more unpredictability, which is no surprise. they are enthusiastic. Both clubs have the financial wherewithal to pay a hefty fee for the young attacker, and it remains to be seen how he ends up.
