PSG goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier is rumored to be on the verge of leaving the club in the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper will need to leave the club to play regularly and has been linked with a move to the Premier League. FussballDaten reports that Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are interested in signing the French goalkeeper.
He has struggled to secure regular minutes for PSG this season and needs to play more often. A move to the Premier League could be an interesting opportunity for him, especially if interested parties are willing to offer him regular game appearances.
Tottenham need an upgrade from Guglielmo Vicario, who has been linked with a return to Italy. He is inconsistent and struggles with aerial balls, which is a concern for the north London club. They need an upgrade from him and the 24-year-old French goalkeeper could be ideal.
He is highly regarded across Europe and could be a great addition to Tottenham if he quickly adapts to English football and regains his form and confidence.
Similarly, Aston Villa could lose Emiliano Martinez in the summer transfer window. The Argentina international was also heavily linked with a move from the West Midlands club last summer. They need to properly replace him and PSG’s goalkeeper could be the ideal fit.
Aston Villa could offer him Champions League football next campaign, but it remains to be seen whether a deal will go ahead.
Both clubs have the funds to secure his signature, but it remains to be seen whether they can convince PSG to sell him.
