  • Sabinho’s move to Tottenham nears completion
  • Savinho becomes De Zerbi’s signature player

Tottenham and Manchester City have reached a basic agreement regarding the long-awaited transfer of Brazilian winger Sabinho to North London.

After a tough campaign in which Spurs barely retained their Premier League status in the final days, the club’s leaders are actively backing manager Roberto De Zerbi in the transfer market.

Sabinho’s move to Tottenham nears completion

This ground-breaking update was broken by a prominent Spurs source in X, who revealed that negotiations between the two Premier League clubs are in the final stages.

Insiders say the core financial package has been agreed upon, with only minor contractual details remaining to be cleared. “Savinho’s compensation is basically agreed upon from what I’ve heard. They’re just sorting out the add-ons,” SzyExcl reported.

City are asking for a fee in the region of £50m to £60m, but this breakthrough shows that Spurs are prepared to meet a high valuation to secure De Zerbi’s top target.

The 22-year-old winger was reportedly keen on a move to Tottenham last summer before manager Josep Guardiola opted to stay at the Etihad, so personal terms are not expected to be an issue.

Once the final additions are finalized, Savinho will officially become the poster child for De Zerbi’s massive summer rebuild.

The Italian tactician is determined to bring explosive flair and direct dribbling to the flanks, and the Brazil international fits that profile exactly.

Savinho burst onto the European scene during a sensational loan spell with Girona before moving to Manchester City, where he showed glimpses of endless potential.

However, the player is keen to take on a leading role in the capital after his consistent minutes were limited under Guardiola last season.

His arrival would be a significant statement of intent from Tottenham, demonstrating the club’s determination to move away from last year’s relegation scare once and for all and move back towards European qualification.

They have already begun their summer rebuild with the signing of veteran left-back Andy Robertson on a free transfer, and are expected to also announce the signing of Marco Senesi on a free transfer.

Meanwhile, Brighton’s Jan Paul van Hecke is also reported to have agreed personal terms with the club, with Spurs expected to reach an agreement soon after having their bids rejected twice.
