  • Paul O’Keeffe talks about how much Spurs will pay Savinho
  • The signing of Sabinho shows the club’s strong intentions for next season under manager Roberto De Zerbi.

Tottenham are close to signing Manchester City winger Savinho.

Following back-to-back 17th-place finishes, the north London club are looking to completely rebuild their underperforming front line and are prepared to provide strong support to new manager Roberto De Zerbi in the transfer window.

The 22-year-old Brazil international has emerged as the club’s absolute priority in the summer window and, according to Fabrizio Romano, a deal is almost complete.

Paul O’Keeffe talks about how much Spurs will pay Savinho

Tottenham’s highly trusted insider Paul O’Keeffe provided an important financial update on the progress of the deal.

In response to a fan’s question about how much Sabinho’s surgery was expected to cost the Lilywhites, O’Keeffe wrote: “Probably close to £55m in the end. Maybe £60.”

If a deal is completed for around £55m to £60m, it would be a huge investment for Tottenham and would bring them closer to the club record fee paid to Dominic Solanke in 2024.

Manchester City are ready to sign a talented winger after a disappointing season at the Etihad.

After the arrival of Antoine Semenho, Sabinho found his playing time limited under manager Josep Guardiola and became actively seeking regular first-team football where he could fulfill his world-class potential.

The signing of Sabinho shows the club’s strong intentions for next season under manager Roberto De Zerbi.

Shifting the club’s recruiting efforts to Savinho is a major statement of intent for Tottenham under De Zerbi.

Sabinho originally rose to fame quickly during his breathtaking spell with Girona in La Liga, but he has the exact raw profile to thrive under De Zerbi’s playing style.

Spurs have already signed Andy Robertson on a free contract, and Marcos Senesi has also completed a deal.

Savignho’s arrival proved that the Tottenham board is fully prepared to hand De Zerbi the tools he needs to spark a dramatic rise to the Premier League table.
