Everton and Newcastle United could ignite a bidding war to sign the attacking star, who has made an impressive breakthrough this summer.
Newcastle move closer to signing Munoz
Newcastle haven’t let anyone forget that they have money to spend after selling Anthony Gordon to Barcelona for £69m earlier this month. The Magpies are already inching closer to signing an immediate replacement in Victor Munoz and may not be able to stop there with a treatment plan in place.
The Osasuna man, who has been called up to represent Spain at the World Cup, has a lot of potential and is likely to end up at St James’s Park sooner rather than later.
He will take part in an extensive offensive rebuild, which could include the addition of players like Dusan Vlahovic. The Juventus man’s contract expires at the end of this month, sparking a fierce transfer race between Premier League teams.
Newcastle are off to a strong start, while Everton are looking to make their first signings of the summer. The Toffees came within reach of European qualification last season and will find out how important this summer will be in closing the gap.

Everton sign Serie A star to face Newcastle
Everton and Newcastle are planning to sign Matteo Pellegrino this summer, according to reports from Italian newspaper Sporto Parma.
Parma have welcomed a bidding war and are hoping for a transfer fee of 30 million euros, 15 times the 2 million euros they paid for him in January 2025, with some suggesting that now is the “right time” to leave.
As it stands, Parma’s asking price is far too high for their Serie A rivals to afford, but well within the range of Premier League suitors.
The 24-year-old had a solid season in Italy last season, scoring 12 goals in all competitions. He could be a surprise option at a time when both Everton and Newcastle are in need of a goalscorer.
Parma CEO Federico Cherubini recently spoke to reporters regarding the situation surrounding Pellegrino’s future. “We know there’s a lot of interest, but we’re in no hurry.”
His stance could also suggest that the club intends to wait for interest to build, and the forward’s price to rise in the process, to the point where bidding begins.
