Chelsea enter race to sign Lewis Hall
According to the latest information shared by a prominent source at ‘X’, Chelsea have initiated contact regarding Hall and he has officially returned.
The dynamic defender originally left West London for Newcastle in a deal worth up to £35 million, but his parent academy club are now monitoring his situation closely.
But his dramatic return to Stamford Bridge is by no means a formality. The report says Chelsea’s leaders still “need a lot of persuasion” before making a definitive high-stakes bid to re-sign the talented full-back.
ITK posted:
“Exclusive: We can confirm that @ChelseaFC has made contact with Manchester United target Lewis Hall. Chelsea will need a lot of convincing to sign the Newcastle United player. Manchester United remain in the lead in the race to sign the player.”
Manchester United favorites to sign Hall
Despite Chelsea checking out the academy product, Manchester United remain the clear favorites in the race to sign him.
The Red Devils have long recognized the £50m-rated defender as a key long-term successor to Luke Shaw on the left side of the backline.
Old Trafford officials have reportedly been in active dialogue with the player’s camp over the past few days.

Hall is highly regarded by United’s recruitment department and is understood to fit the profile of an elite young Premier League player that INEOS would like to sign.
With Newcastle facing the reality of a season without European football, the temptation is growing for young players to explore their options.
Chelsea are maintaining a monitoring period, but all indicators suggest Old Trafford remains Hall’s most likely destination should a summer move materialize.
