Croatia equalized with England thanks to a stunning goal from Martin Baturina.
Harry Kane gave his side the lead early in the match after Luka Modric brought down Noni Maduke inside the box.
The England captain stood up, but the first penalty was saved. However, the keeper stepped off his line and the referee gave him a second chance, and the second request was a no-miss.
However, Croatia quickly responded: Baturina scored to make it 1-1.
The Como star, who is linked with a move to the Premier League, smashed the ball into the top left corner from outside the box.
Jordan Pickford came close to making a move, but it wasn’t enough to prevent it.
Tottenham and Aston Villa have reportedly made bids of €50 million. Martin Baturina
Baturina’s world-class influence on the international stage comes amid intense speculation about her domestic future.
Tottenham and Aston Villa have reportedly made a €50 million bid for Martin Baturina in a bid to lure Serie A side Como into a summer sale.
Regarding Spurs’ bid, Portuguese journalist Pedro Almeida reported in early June that the north London club had offered Como around 50 million euros for Baturina.
Reports about Aston Villa’s bid for the player came from Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness), which claimed that Unai Emery’s side had made a bid in the range of €50 million and €55 million for the player.
Leeds have also been linked with the player in the past.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side are busy rebuilding their squad and have already signed the likes of Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi. Spurs are also close to signing Jan Paul van Hecke.
Baturina’s arrival will undoubtedly be a quality signing for the club, who are looking to strengthen their midfield this summer.
