Newcastle United are reportedly scrambling to rebuild their attacking plan after losing Victor Munoz to Liverpool in dramatic fashion.
The Osasuna winger looked set to head to Tyneside, but reports claim Newcastle were working hard on the deal and were also preparing key steps before Liverpool made their move in the second half.
The Reds’ signing of the Spanish attacker has frustrated Newcastle, who believed they were close to signing one of their preferred wide options.

A source close to X said the club is currently in contact with the representatives of Darwin Nunez and Marcus Rashford to find an alternative to the statement.
Both players will bring different things. Nunez provides chaos, movement and explosive running at the back, while Rashford offers speed, directness and Premier League experience from the left.
Either option would give Newcastle’s attack a different edge, especially if the club wants more speed and unpredictability in the final third.
