  • Sesco could make a big difference to Arsenal’s offense
  • Arsenal’s clear priorities forward sign this summer

Arsenal reportedly plans a Megabacks offer to one of Europe’s most coveted strikers.

According to Spanish outlet Fichejes, the gunners are ready to “fully” try to snap RB Leipzig attacker Benjamin Sesco this summer.

The Bundesliga Club has already held talks with Andrea Berta, and is understood to be putting together a “very serious” bid for the North London outfit, surpassing the 100 million euro (£83.8 million) mark.

The Slovenian fits the profile of Mikel Arteta’s age profile (he’ll be 22 next Saturday) and the profile of the striker he wants to add to his team in terms of long-term possibilities.

Leipzig is not in a hurry to let Sesco go, but he accepts that if Arsenal puts a substantial offer forward, it will ultimately be the player’s decision to stay or leave.

Sesco could make a big difference to Arsenal’s offense

The lack of a truly strong centre forward ultimately came a long way towards non-Liverpool gunners for this season’s Premier League title.

Sesco hit 13 in the Bundesliga alone (and 21 in all tournaments), with the Leipzig side coming in seventh and unable to qualify for the European tournament, suggesting he could soon arrest that fundamental flaw on the Arteta side.

Christopher Vibel (former technical director of Red Bull Arena) welcomed the Slovenians as “mobile and technically strong” and “real scorers” and provided an impressive presence in Arsenal’s No. 9 role at 1.95m.

Arsenal’s clear priorities forward sign this summer

The Gunners also focus on potential moves from Brian Mbeumo and Nick Urtemade, so Berta has a clear design by bolstering the Emirates attack.

Sesko certainly won’t be cheaper, but Arsenal knows that such marquees can sign to favorably tilt the scale as they try to abdicate Liverpool as champions in 2025/26.
