BELMONT, Mich. (AP) – Jin Yan shot a 4-under 68 on Saturday to maintain a one-shot lead at the wind-swept Meyer LPGA Classic, the final event before the major KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in Hazeltine next week.
Yang made birdie on the par-5 18th to end his second straight bogey-free round at Brisefield Country Club. The 30-year-old American, who has never won on the LPGA Tour, posted a total of 14-under 202.

“I just tried to have fun with it,” Yang said. “I knew it was going to be a little bit nerve-wracking because I’ve never been in this position before, but there were times when I was having late tee times and not being able to handle it very well. So I’m just trying to figure out what really works for me.”
2nd place goes to England’s Lottie Ward. He also got a birdie on the 18th with a 68.
“I think I’m just trying to get off to a good start,” Ward said of the final round. “That’s what we’re trying to do is get back in front and push early and keep the pressure on.”
Australia’s Kathy Porter shot a 69 and was two strokes behind.
