Arsenal have been linked with a move for Julian Alvarez in recent months.

They want to sign Atletico Madrid’s 26-year-old striker and El Chiringuito now claim they have already reached an agreement with the La Liga club. Apparently, Atlético Madrid will receive €50 million along with Victor Goqueres as part of the deal.

It remains to be seen how the situation will develop.

Arsenal need Julian Alvarez

There is no doubt that Arsenal need more quality in their attacking line, and Alvarez would be an exceptional signing. He is a world-class striker and has consistently shown his quality at Atletico Madrid. He previously impressed in the Premier League for Manchester City.

Alvarez is an important player for club and country and could transform Arsenal’s attack. They need players who can find the back of the net on a regular basis and create chances for their teammates. The 26-year-old could be the ideal forward for Arsenal. Last season, he scored 20 goals and provided nine assists.

Alvarez could be an upgrade to Gokeres

Gokeres joined Arsenal last summer and has scored 21 goals in all competitions. However, his overall soccer ability still has a lot of room for improvement. His link-up and technical ability are very mediocre and Alwal would definitely be a big upgrade.

It could be a smart move for Arsenal if they can sign him along with the Sweden international for €50 million. It will be interesting to see if they can put this move together quickly. The player is currently away on World Cup duty with the Argentina national team, and it is believed that any transfer will have to wait until the end of the tournament.

Arsenal aim to defend their Premier League title next season and a signing like Alvarez could take them to another level. Alvarez has also been linked with a move to PSG or Barcelona.
