Crisencio Somerville has become one of the most talked about players of the summer transfer window.

Following West Ham United’s relegation from the Premier League, the club may be forced to liquidate key assets. The Dutch winger, who attracted attention with his goals against Japan and Sweden at the World Cup, is now attracting the attention of Europe’s top clubs.

Tottenham are also believed to be keeping an eye on Somerville.

Manchester United prepare to move for Crisencio Somerville

According to officials, catch off side Manchester United are reportedly considering Somerville as an option to strengthen their attack if Marcus Rashford leaves Old Trafford permanently. However, West Ham’s £50m valuation is seen as a major hurdle. United’s main priority remains rebuilding their midfield, with Somerville’s teammate Matheus Fernandes named as a key target.

Interest in Somerville extends beyond England. Napoli and AC Milan continue to monitor the situation, while Paris Saint-Germain have already made contact with West Ham.

Several clubs are eyeing a move to Somerville

According to reports, the French champions are preparing a bid in the region of £43m and could also pursue a double deal for Somerville and Fernandes, which could take the total to £130m.

Roma are also in the race and appear well placed to meet West Ham’s reduced demands. The English club’s valuation could drop to between £30m and £40m, which has encouraged the Serie A side. With Roma back in the Champions League and keen to strengthen their squad, Somerville’s refusal to play in the Championship makes a move to Italy look increasingly likely.

Although his contract runs until 2029, West Ham’s financial pressures and Somerville’s ambition to remain at the highest level make a move very likely. There is expected to be a “fierce battle” between Manchester United, PSG and Roma in the coming weeks.
