Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lukas Bergvall has informed the club that he wants to leave this summer.

The 20-year-old is highly regarded at the London club and his departure would be a huge blow. According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the Sweden international has confirmed to Tottenham that he is looking for a new challenge.

There is a lot of interest in this player from both England and abroad. It will be interesting to see if any club comes forward to sign him.

Chelsea had previously attempted to sign the player.

There is no doubt that the Sweden international is a quality player and he has a big future ahead of him. He has shown his quality at Tottenham in the Premier League and will only improve with coaching and guidance.

Tottenham will not want to sell him easily. He has a long-term contract with them, so it’s likely to be expensive. It remains to be seen whether any club will pay a premium for him.

The 20-year-old can play as a central or attacking midfielder. He could prove to be a good option on the right team.

He was linked with elite clubs such as Barcelona even before his move to Tottenham, and it looks like there will be no shortage of clubs looking to sign him this summer. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop.

The development will be a major blow to the north London club as they look to significantly strengthen their squad. Given the fact that the 20-year-old midfielder wants to leave the club, it will be difficult for Tottenham to keep him.
