Everton are a team with a lot of ambition this summer. David Moyes took the Toffees so close to European qualification last time out that the goal must be to close that gap in the coming months.
Rumor has it that Merseyside clubs are also willing to put money into the deal. Names like Hayden Hackney still threaten to steal the headlines and there is no doubt that the Middlesbrough star is ready for the Premier League.

On the other hand, there’s also the possibility that some familiar faces may return. John Stones will leave Manchester City as a free agent at the end of the season, with Everton reportedly one of his options.
It will be a first-round moment for the England international, who first attracted interest from City after emerging at Everton in 2016.
Unfortunately, it’s not just the centre-backs that the Toffees are keeping an eye on. They also hope to sign a new right-back this summer following the retirement of Seamus Coleman. The veteran defender has been a mainstay for over a decade and will be incredibly difficult to replace.
While Jake O’Brien has played the role admirably over the last 12 months, Everton should be keen to play a centre-back in his natural role and the arrival of a new right-back could provide that.
Everton and Newcastle compete for defender
The Merseyside club have reportedly turned to France to resolve the issue. According to TeamTalk, Everton held talks and expressed interest in signing Ainsley Maitland-Niles from Lyon this summer.
The Ligue 1 side are keen to keep hold of the versatile defender, but are also aware that any offer reaching a certain amount would have to be given the go-ahead, giving the club a huge advantage.
The former Arsenal man remains a wanted star this summer. Everton are not the only club wanting to bring him back to the Premier League. Newcastle are also interested in signing Maitland-Niles, and it is understood Lyon will give him the green light provided they make a big offer.
Money should not be an issue for the Magpies, who have already sold Anthony Gordon to Barcelona for £69m and set their asking price for Sandro Tonali at £100m amid interest from Tottenham.
However, it remains to be seen whether they or Everton convert their interest in Maitland-Niles into an offer.
