Bryson DeChambeau should be very encouraged by what’s been happening in golf this week while away from the cameras

Bryson DeChambeau has some big decisions to make at the end of this year.

The two-time US Open champion’s current contract with LIV Golf is set to expire at the end of this season, so his future is far from certain.

LIV Golf has lost Saudi funding, raising big questions about whether the tour will exist beyond 2027. DeChambeau was seen speaking to PGA Tour officials about his future at the Masters, hinting at the possibility of working full-time in content creation and playing only majors next year.

DeChambeau is currently working on that idea. Due to the cancellation of the LIV Louisiana Tournament, he is currently out of the spotlight as he will not play competitive golf between the U.S. Open and British Open Championship.

But what’s happened to the golf world with DeChambeau not playing is great news for his future.

Brad Dalke’s performance on DP World Tour bodes well for Bryson DeChambeau

YouTuber Brad Dalke’s performance on the DP World Tour this week was one of the shockers of the golf season. He was granted a sponsor’s exemption to play in the BMW International Open, and after 36 holes he is within two strokes of the leader.

Dahlke is an exceptional golfer who played in the 2017 Masters and the U.S. Open, but he doesn’t play a full tour schedule and instead works as a full-time content creator on YouTube.

So the fact that Dalke was able to show up and play in his DP World Tour pro debut would give DeChambeau an immediate template. You can perform at your best in competitive golf while creating content.

This is not DP World Tour’s weak point. Joaquin Niemann and Sergio Garcia, who finished in the top 10 at the US Open, are just two highly touted players competing in Germany this week.

So Dalke’s efforts so far are a much-needed boost for DeChambeau ahead of the British Open in two weeks. Now, if he is able to compete at Birkdale, the blueprint for 2027 could be drawn and we could see him step away from full-time golf.
