Drama is heating up at St James’s Park. Newcastle United’s talent exodus looks set to continue thanks to Bruno Guimarães, and the exodus will likely result in some new faces.
The Magpies have already signed Buzamana Toure and have also agreed to sign Sean Stools from Ajax. Now they are focusing on the World Cup stars. We are confident that a deal for Johan Manzambi will be finalized after the tournament, and another summer star could join in Antonio Nusa.

reliability | Nusa was one of the breakout stars of the World Cup, and rightly so. His talent was evident even before the tournament started for RB Leipzig and the German club are now hoping for an offer from Newcastle, who are looking for attacking reinforcements. |
finances | The Bundesliga looks like Newcastle’s situation this summer, and Nusa’s prices seem to be in the same region as Manzambi. Leipzig don’t want to lose any players but have reportedly set a valuation of around £60m for the winger. |
insight | Yann Diomande is another star Leipzig winger who could be heading to the Premier League, with a lot of attention this summer. The Norway international contributed nine goals last season and scored an important goal for Norway in their recent match against Ivory Coast. |
impact | Newcastle have already added Toure, and the arrival of Nousa will bring an end to their search for wingers. This will allow them to focus on finding reinforcements in midfield, with Guimarães potentially leaving the club. |
Fresh off a successful World Cup campaign, Nousa will be a sought-after player among the clubs Newcastle will be chasing this summer.
Newcastle set to launch offer for Antonio Nusa
According to Pete O’Rourke’s Football Insider, Newcastle are expected to launch an offer for Noosa ahead of next season. A move to the Premier League is reportedly attractive for the 21-year-old winger and although RB Leipzig are reluctant to sell their star player this summer, clubs could yet test their resolve.
According to previous reports, the German club values Nusa at around £60 million, which would certainly be a hefty transfer fee. However, Newcastle have cash to spend, having sold Sandro Tonali for £100m and Anthony Gordon for over £69m, and Guimarães is unlikely to come cheap either.
£60m Nusa has potential to replace Gordon
Replacing Gordon this summer will not be easy. The England international played a talismanic role in the absence of Alexander Isak last season and joined the Swede in his absence. With Newcastle out of the Champions League, their focus appears to be on investing in their potential. And that’s where Nusa comes in.
The winger’s talent could be summed up by his goal against Ivory Coast. He cut inside before finding the top corner, in a manner that Newcastle fans will no doubt be familiar with.
