LONDON — Kristina Mladenovic teamed up with Guo Hanyu to defeat Gabriela Dombrowski and Luisa Stefani 6-3, 7-5 in the Wimbledon final on Sunday to win her seventh Grand Slam women’s doubles title.
Mladenovic has won the French Open doubles tournament four times and the Australian Open twice with different partners, but his only loss came in the 2014 Wimbledon final.
“It really feels like a dream,” said the Frenchman, who missed most of last year due to injury. “I just can’t believe what just happened.”
Mladenovic and Guo only started playing together this year, but this is the first Grand Slam title for a Chinese player.
This is Dombrowski’s third runner-up finish at Wimbledon, after also losing in the 2019 and 2024 finals. She has won the US Open doubles title twice.
This was Stefani’s first Grand Slam doubles final.
