Manchester United steal pole position from Jonathan Lowe as Aston Villa approach

Manchester United are still looking for reinforcements this summer, with a focus primarily on midfielders, but they also have their sights set on attacking stars such as Jonathan Rowe.

For a moment, it looked as if Aston Villa had given the Bologna winger a free run after impressing against Unai Emery’s side in last season’s Europa League. However, the Red Devils have complicated things since then and appear to have taken a march away from their Premier League rivals.

Bad news for Villa, but perhaps even worse for Marcus Rashford. The England international is yet to leave Old Trafford and is moving in the direction of what he hopes will be a fresh start under Michael Carrick. The arrival of a young, hungry winger like Lowe could derail that plan.

It’s hard to ignore Lowe’s disciplinary issues on the pitch, including a red card in a recent friendly, but it’s certainly possible.

His record stands out compared to players like Rashford at a time when the Premier League is starting to place more emphasis on successful challenges. The goals will soon follow for a player who is only 23 years old.

Next season, there will be a good balance between Champions League football and domestic league matches, so having a deep team will probably not be a bad thing. Brian Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesco are likely to start, but there is still plenty of room for a player of Lowe’s caliber.

Manchester United race to take pole position with Jonathan Law

As reported by Corriere di Bologna and Sport Witness, Man United have taken pole position to sign Lowe, just days after Aston Villa began their approach to sign the winger.

It’s a huge blow for the Midlands side, who could lose one of their biggest goals to their Premier League rivals. The ball is now in the court of Man United, who have become the most serious suitors, and they are mulling whether to turn their interest into an offer this summer.

With Andrej Santos and Youri Tielemans already through the gates, the Old Trafford players now have the chance to turn their focus to their front line for the fourth time in 12 months.

While rumors continue to swirl over Rashford’s future, United have the chance to sign an immediate replacement for Lowe, who will be returning to English football for the first time since leaving Norwich. As for Aston Villa, he may be forced to return to the market for other options.
