According to Spanish journalist Jorge C. Picon of X, Arsenal have not yet made contact with Vinicius, despite strong links with the Gunners.
Yesterday’s report in The Athletic claimed that Arsenal were looking to sign Vinicius, but they also stressed that the saga is still at an early stage, even though it is a major claim from a reliable source.

Picon has now stated that he wants to remain at Real Madrid, even though he has previously refused to re-sign with the Spanish giants, see below.
The possibility of reaching an agreement within the next season has not been ruled out.

His post added: “As for Arsenal, the English club have privately confirmed their interest in the Brazilian player, but sources close to the player also say that no one has been in contact with them to date.”
The next few days could also be key, with Picon saying: “Vinicius returns to Madrid this weekend, looking more promising than ever and the countdown has officially begun. Some within the club believe there is no longer any way to avoid him reaching the final year of that dreaded contract, but he has not ruled out renewing it during the 2026/27 season.”

Arsenal and Real Madrid transfer history
We’ve seen Arsenal and Real Madrid do big business before, even if it’s definitely on a completely different level.
