Brentford, on the other hand, maintained their unbeaten streak in the Premier League after four matches for only the second time, having also achieved this feat in the 2023-24 season when they drew 2-2 with Bournemouth.
The Bees have now extended their unbeaten record against Bournemouth, with the Cherries failing to secure a victory in nine Premier League encounters against them (D4 L5). This marks the longest unbeaten streak Brentford has against any team in the league.
Brentford manager Keith Andrews believed his team could improve. He remarked, “We didn’t perform to our usual standards today, and we struggled with Bournemouth’s specific style of play. However, we also didn’t help ourselves in certain aspects. Ultimately, I see this as a point gained.”
On a positive note, Andrews praised Schade, who scored both goals for Brentford against Bournemouth. The German player now has four and five Premier League goals against the Cherries, marking his highest tally against any opponent. In fact, two of his four multi-goal games in the league have come against Bournemouth.
“He’s been fantastic since returning in pre-season, attacking with vigor and playing with great freedom. I hope this form continues,” Andrews added.
