Welcome to Wrestling Inc.’s live broadcast of “WWE Raw” on September 14, 2026, coming to you from Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico!
Roman Reigns is set to defend his World Heavyweight Championship for the first time since his successful title defense against Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam on August 2. His challenger tonight is Penta, who earned his shot by winning the World Heavyweight Championship Number One Contenders Tournament. Penta’s path to the title match included victories over Laredo Kid on the August 10 episode of “Raw,” La Parka on August 24, and his brother Rey Fenix in the finals on August 31.
Chad Gable will also put his Intercontinental Championship on the line for the first televised defense since beating Rey Mysterio on August 17, facing off against Dragon Lee. Lee secured his contender status by defeating Ethan Page in a Number One Contenders match on August 31.
The first competitors for the 2026 Money In The Bank matches have been announced: Sol Ruca for the women’s match and Bron Breakker for the men’s. They earned their spots last Monday by winning their respective Triple Threat Qualifiers—Ruca against Maxxine Dupri and Lyra Valkyria, and Breakker against Ethan Page and AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio. Tonight, two more entrants—Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez, Lola Vice, and NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan on the women’s side, and Big Cass, Je’Von Evans, and The Vision’s Austin Theory on the men’s side—will battle in Triple Threat Qualifier matches.
Also making an appearance tonight is Stephanie Vaquer, who recently claimed the Women’s World Championship by defeating Liv Morgan at a live event in Chile on September 12, in a match influenced by guest referee Becky Lynch’s controversial call.
The show kicks off with a video recap of the tournament final between Penta and Rey Fenix for the number one contender spot, followed by Corey Graves and Joe Tessitore welcoming fans as Rey Mysterio makes his way to the ring.
Spotlight on Rey Mysterio
With Adam Pearce by his side, Rey Mysterio welcomes the Mexico City crowd to “Raw,” noting it’s been 15 years since WWE visited the city. He addresses fans in Spanish, expressing pride in representing Mexico and declaring tonight a historic evening. Rey highlights Stephanie Vaquer’s recent victory as a standout moment from the recent South American WWE tour.
Stephanie Vaquer’s theme then plays, and she enters to shake hands with Pearce and Mysterio, thanking the Mexico City audience in Spanish. She shares that winning back the Women’s World Championship in her home country of Chile was the highlight of her life and feels honored to be competing in Mexico again. Suddenly, Liv Morgan’s music hits, and she appears alongside Dominik Mysterio. Morgan claims she was unfairly stripped of the Women’s World Championship in Chile, insultingly refers to Rey as a “deadhead father,” with Dominik backing her up.
Dominik then cues a video showing El Grande Americano defeating him for the AAA Mega Championship, with Rey serving as special guest referee. Dominik challenges Rey and Vaquer to a Mixed Tag Team Match representing himself and Morgan. Pearce states that Rey isn’t medically cleared to compete, but El Grande Americano’s music plays as he steps out to replace Rey in the match.
